Girlpool share demo of ‘Chinatown’ to raise funds for Brooklyn DIY space ruined by fire
All proceeds will go towards the rebuilding of The Silent Barn.
Girlpool have shared a new demo version of their track ‘Chinatown’ to help raise funds for a DIY space in Brooklyn which suffered a fire at the weekend.
The Silent Barn, which serves as a venue and home for many DIY musicians in the city, is looking for money to help reverse the damage done in the incident.
‘Chinatown’ appears on Girlpool’s recent debut album ‘Before The World Was Big’, and the new version, which was recorded last year, just after they wrote the song, is available to download from their Bandcamp page for $2, with all the proceeds going to The Silent Barn.
Girlpool recently finished their biggest UK tour to date, including a DIY Presents show at the Scala in London.
