Glastonbury are planning “some exciting surprises” for their Park Stage

Stage marks its 10 year anniversary in 2017.

Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has hinted at “some exciting surprises” being planned for the festival’s Park Stage.

Since opening in 2007, the Park Area has played host to big-name surprise slots from the likes of Radiohead and Pulp. Rumours of a secret Park Stage set seem to spread every year, too. Last year, Radiohead were rumoured to be playing the Sunday night. The previous year, Prince.

Posting on Instagram, Eavis said: “Next year will be ten years since we created The Park area so we are planning some exciting surprises to mark the anniversary.”

Radiohead are the only act so far to be confirmed for Glastonbury 2017. They’ll headline the Pyramid Stage on Friday 23rd June. A full line-up will be announced in spring 2017. Ed Sheeran, Kings of Leon and Lady Gaga are all rumoured to be appearing at Worthy Farm next year.
