Listen Goat Girl share ‘Cracker Drool’ b-side ‘Scream’, announce UK and Irish tour
The Rough Trade-signed four-piece will hit the road in March and April.
Goat Girl recently shared new single ‘Cracker Drool’, and the band have now unveiled its b-side, a new track called ‘Scream’.
The new track comes alongside news of the band’s biggest UK and Irish headline tour to date, taking in dates across March and April.
The shows begin on 31st March in Manchester, with a huge London date set for The Garage in Highbury on 17th April.
Goat Girl are part of our Class Of 2018, one of the fourteen bands we’re tipping for huge things next year. Lisa Wright profiled the whip-smart, politicised four-piece.
“I find it quite special seeing four women on stage, powerful women that are doing well with music on their own. I hope that gives people better ideas of women in music or whatever,” the band’s Lottie told us. “And I do think it makes it quite different. There’s definitely a difference with genders and that can be celebrated as an interesting thing,” Ellie continues.
“The question doesn’t have to be ‘What bad experiences have you had as women in the music industry?’ It can be like, ‘Oh it’s good because there’s something beautiful about femininity’.” “We’re just four young girls tryin’ to make a living…” laughs Lottie, adopting her finest Southern country twang.
