Get excited - Gorillaz’s new album will be “ready fairly soon”
Damon Albarn says he’s “loving it”. Give us a preview, will you mate?

An update on the new Gorillaz album: it’s going to be “ready fairly soon,” according to Damon Albarn.
The Blur frontman offered a glimpse of their work-in-progress when speaking to BBC Radio 6 Music.. Albarn said: “Later in the year we’ll be starting to get the whole Gorillaz thing together.” He added: “I’m loving it and it’s getting there. It should be ready fairly soon.”
The record, which was initially teased by Jamie Hewlett, has been touted for a late 2016 / early 2017 release. Previously, they said they’d be back in the studio from September. And it looks like they’ve been working with rapper Vic Mensa on new material.
