Grizzly Bear perform at Bernie Sanders rally

It’s the first time Ed Droste & Co have played together live in two years.

Grizzly Bear played together live for the first time in two years yesterday afternoon (17th April), as they reunited for a rally in support of Democratic leadership candidate Bernie Sanders.

The group played a three song set in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park, performing ‘Two Weeks’, ‘While You Wait For Others’ and ‘Knife’. R.E.M’s Michael Stipe was in attendance, also showing his support for the Democratic leader candidate.

The band recently confirmed that they’re due to start recording the follow-up to 2012’s ‘Shields’ very soon - next month, in fact! News of the follow-up comes shortly after the band’s Bear and Ed Droste guested on The National’s upcoming ‘Day of the Dead’ Grateful Dead tribute compilation.
