Grizzly Bear Rework ‘Shields’

Tis the season to be jolly etc, and it appears that Grizzly Bear having taken that into their festive hearts, as they proffer us all their season’s greetings. Either that, or they need to move away from the sherry.

Posting their very own Christmas video, the Brooklyn band have reworked numerous tracks from ‘Shields’, in a definite lounge music style. With ‘Gun-Shy’, ‘Sleeping Ute’ and ‘Speak in Rounds’ all making an appearance along with other tracks from their 2012 record, there’s piano in abandonment and a healthy dose of saxophone, all accompanied by images of dogs playing cards. According to the band themselves, it’s ‘the gift the whole family can enjoy.’
