Haiku Hands share new banger ‘Onset’, sign to Diplo’s Mad Decent

There’s a debut album coming (finally!) next year

Aussie trio Haiku Hands have shared ‘Onset’ (feat. Mad Zach) - their first new material this year.

Following stand-out live shows at SXSW and across 2019’s festival season, the band’s latest is a typically raucous pop/ hip-hop hybrid, featuring lashings of Beastie Boys swagger but some smart pop nouse.

“’Onset’ is the kind of track that you can listen to while walking down the street and feel like you own it. To me it’s a power track, about owning your power, sharing and enjoying it,” say the band. “Mad Zach incorporates sounds and elements from old school 80’s & 90’s hip hop, rave and electro and combines them with contemporary, new school electronic production. ‘Onset’ is colourful, wild and rude. Get into it.”

Colourful, wild and rude - of course - being three of our favourite adjectives.

The trio have also shared an update on their debut album. Due out next year, it’ll be released via Diplo’s label Mad Decent. Which is a very good match really.
