Haim play secret Glastonbury set, are joined by Mumford & Sons

The trio performed a short set in the Avalon Cafe.

Haim popped up to play a secret set at Glastonbury this afternoon (Saturday 28th June), performing in the Avalon Cafe on a stage hosted by Mumford and Sons’ Gentlemen of the Road label.

Mumford & Co. also put in an appearance during the trio’s set for a rendition of The Rolling Stones’ ‘Dead Flowers’. Other acts to perform in the tent today include Johnny Flynn, Michael Kiwanuka and Nick Mulvey.

Haim’s Glastonbury set proper took place yesterday (Friday 27th June), when they performed on The Other Stage. They also played a stripped-back version of their 2012 single ‘Don’t Save Me’ in a BBC Music “tepee”.

Earlier in the day, guitarist Alana revealed to Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC 6 Music that the band have been writing on the road, and that they’ll soon go home to start recording. “I promise record two won’t come in six years,” she said. “It’ll come very soon.”
