Hayley Williams shares video for ‘Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party’

A little over a week since Hayley Williams released her new solo project, she’s now returned with the official video for one of the project’s singles, ‘Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party’.

The lo-fi clip follows Williams as she traverses through her home town of Nashville, taking on honky tonk stretch of Broadway, before ending up in a late night karaoke bar. The clip - which doubles as the directorial debut from her regular visual collaborator Zachary Gray - also features as appearance from Tennessee politician Justin Jones, the State Representative for District 52. 

The track gets lifted from her brand new 17-track project, which was released last week alongside her new Good Dye Young product, Ego, and is now on streaming services. This new project marks the first full solo release from the Nashville native since her 2020 debut full-length ‘Petals For Armor’ and its 2021 follow-up ‘Flowers For Vases / descansos’. What’s more, she’s now encouraging fans to help her pick a tracklisting for the physical release of the project, by creating and sharing their preferred track order as a playlist. 

And the new video’s not all she’s got up her sleeve this week: it’s now been confirmed that she’ll be collaborating with the one and only David Byrne (that Paramore ‘Burning Down The House’ cover continues its legacy…) to produce the original score for Netflix’s forthcoming animation of Roald Dahl classic The Twits!
