Jay Som recruits Hayley Williams for final album preview ‘Past Lives’

Ahead of the release of her new album ‘Belong’ this Friday, Jay Som has shared one last teaser in the form of ‘Past Lives’ - a cathartic, grunge-flecked cut that sees her team up with none other than Hayley Williams. 

The songwriter and producer’s first record in over six years (following 2019’s ‘Anak Ko’), ‘Belong’ features Jay Som’s first ever collaborations, and this particular partnership has been brewing ever since she opened for Paramore on tour in 2018.

“It’s a dream come true to have Hayley sing on my first feature on an album, […] I still can’t believe it happened,” Jay Som - aka Melina Duterte - has said. “She’s one of the kindest artists out there and she graciously accepts and uplifts the people around her. We’re all so lucky to witness her talent and live on the same timeline as her.”
