Hear a preview of Grizzly Bear member Daniel Rossen’s film score
Rossen has been chosen to soundtrack Matthew Yeager’s ‘Valedictorian’
Grizzly Bear member Daniel Rossen has shared a preview of the original score for ‘Valedictorian’, a film directed by Matthew Yeager. The independent film is a drama that follows a musician’s journey to becoming a vagabond on the streets of Brooklyn. Rossen uploaded one of the twelve pieces written to his Soundcloud with the following note:
“Here’s a sample of the music I did for the film Valedictorian. The film is the story of a young man that slowly walks away from his life in New York and fades into the background of the city over the course of a year. It’s split up into 12 scenes, one for each month, and my task was to score a short piece of music to mark each passing month.”
‘Valedictorian’ will be featured at the upcoming International Film Festival in Rotterdam, between 21st January and 1st February. Listen to ‘July’, taken from the original soundtrack below.
