Hear Broods remix Charli XCX’s ‘Break the Rules’
NZ duo break some rules of their own ahead of Charli’s London Heaven gig.

‘Sucker’ for a good remix? Great - New Zealand duo Broods have taken on Charli XCX’s smash hit ‘Break the Rules’, and they’ve inserted some ominous, gloomy synths because hey, they figured they’d break some rules of their own.
The original’s glitzy burst of pop has been flipped on its head, toppled with a flash of driving beats and the repeated, doomy mantra “’Til we die.”
It’s all very suspenseful and gloomy, the opposite of the flashes of brilliance in Broods’ debut album ‘Evergreen’, which topped the NZ charts and is set to gain a UK release in early 2015.
Charli’s own ‘Sucker’ LP is coming out 26th January 2015.
Tonight (30th October) she headlines a sold out show at London Heaven.
