Hear Charli XCX cover Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake it Off’ in Radio 1 Live Lounge

One week ahead of ‘Sucker’’s UK release, Charli XCX took to the Radio 1 studios earlier today (10th February) to perform a breakneck speed cover of Taylor Swift’s massive ‘Shake it Off’ track.

Adding a ‘Sucker’punch, killer blow to the original, Charli ups the speed tenfold and brings an uncompromising punk edge to Taylor’s hater-baiting 2014 single. Sticking to the whole copyright infringement debacle, she even left the “this sick beat” phrase out of her cover - wise move, Charli.

She covered the track for Fearne Cotton’s Live Lounge.
