For the past twelve months, Fake Laugh’s slowly established himself as a bedroom project worth breaking out into the big stage. Woozy numbers are his game, no matter the subject or the setting. The same goes for his latest cut, a cover of Alvvays’ ‘The Agency Group’.

He takes the Canadians’ track - taken from a 2014 self-titled debut - and ups every oddity in sight. Minor keys and hazey guitar lines steal the show, and Kamran Khan’s vocal does its best to wobble the emotion factor.
