Hear Royal Blood cover The Police’s ‘Roxanne’ for Radio 1
Fearne Cotton hosted the BRITs-nominated duo for a Live Lounge session.
Earlier today (18th February), Royal Blood visited Radio 1 for a special BRITs Week session in Fearne Cotton’s Live Lounge.
Every British Breakthrough Act nominee is being showcased over the coming week. George Ezra and FKA twigs have performed sessions, with Royal Blood the next in line. As well as playing ‘Out of the Black’, they were asked to cover a previously BRIT nominated artist.
Instead of going for Robbie Williams’ ‘Millennium’ (which they contemplated, apparently), the Brighton duo performed a version of Sting & The Police’s ‘Roxanne’. Listen to their cover below.
Royal Blood are nominated for British Breakthrough Act, British Album and British Group at the 2015 BRIT Awards. The live ceremony takes place at London’s O2 Arena, Wednesday 25th February.
