Listen: Hyperpop star daine releases new tracks ‘dainecore’ and ‘dying’
The newies complete three-song set ‘boys wanna txt/ dainecore’
Hyperpop’s newest star on the rise daine has unveiled two new tracks - ‘dainecore’ and ‘dying’ - thus completing current three-track series ‘boys wanna txt/ dainecore’.
The latest cuts from the 18-year-old, Charli XCX-approved Melbourne singer, ‘dainecore’ finds the singer belting auto-tuned, emo vocals over glitchy backing, while ‘dying’ treads a lighter path before amping up for a crescendoing finale.
The tracks follow recent track ‘boys wanna txt’, co-produced by 100 gecs’ Dylan Brady, while a new live version of ‘dainecore’ - recorded in a suitably smoke-filled, cavernous space - is available to watch now.
