Icona Pop Announce UK Album Release, Share ‘Girlfriend’ Video

It’s official. Icona Pop’s debut album is gaining a UK release. ‘This Is…Icona Pop’ (in case you were wondering) gains release on 24th September in the States, and UK listeners have access to it on 7th October via Atlantic.

The debut opens with ‘I Love It’ (ft. Charli XCX) and doesn’t look like letting up from there on. A new single in ‘Girlfriend’ (which came out earlier this year in rougher form) has a new video proper, which you can stream below.

Tim Nackashi directs the new video, shot out somewhere very hot where Icona Pop shouldn’t have been wearing such heat-absorbing attire. But there’s smoke. Flares. Motorbikes. Hands in the air. Everything that is… Icona Pop.
