Iggy Pop, Buzzcocks, Adam Ant, The Damned to play Isle of Wight Festival
Fest is celebrating “40 years of punk”.
Iggy Pop and Buzzcocks have been announced for Isle of Wight Festival, which has announced its plans to celebrate “40 years of punk” next year.
Putting a timestamp on punk’s movement, the fest is marking an anniversary of sorts - 40 years since The Ramones released their debut and 40 years since The Sex Pistols signed to EMI.
The Damned and Buzzcocks formed in 1976, and they’ve both made the bill for next year’s festival. Iggy Pop will play the main stage, while Adam Ant is confirmed to play his ‘Kings of the Wild Frontier’ album in full.
They join previously announced non-punk-affiliated acts Faithless, Stereophonics and Queen + Adam Lambert. Get tickets here.
