INHEAVEN bring coming-of-age movies to their ‘Stupid Things’ video

The band are currently touring their debut album in the UK.

INHEAVEN are currently touring their excellent self-titled debut album across the UK, and they’ve shared a new video for recent single ‘Stupid Things’.

Compiling footage from a series of coming-of-age movies, the grainy clip fits perfectly with track’s heavy nostalgia.

“We think the best movies make you feel something more,” the band explain in a press release. “They should be able to tap into your psyche, force out a feeling you can’t explain, and should make you laugh and cry in equal measures. This was the premise for ‘Stupid Things’. We always imagined this song soundtracking our own coming-of-age film, so the only way that felt really natural was to collect lots of cinematic moments that express the sentiment of the song and put them together to make our own smorgasbord of emotion.

“We wanted the song and video to make you feel in love and heartbroken at the same time. As we said before, ‘Stupid Things’ is a song for daydreamers, and should feel like a school crush that will last forever. We hope John Hughes would approve.”
