Is New Daft Punk Material Closer Than We Think?

There have been plenty of rumours that the French duo are working together, and we might finally have a new track on the horizon.

There have been tons of rumours surrounding when we might be able to sink our teeth into some new material from Daft Punk, but we may actually have a real idea of it now!

After rumours that a new album would be released this month, they were quickly quashed. There’s also been word that they’ve worked with Giorgio Morodor and Nile Rodgers, but no one really knows anything.

However, Tsugi, a French magazine has now published details of their forthcoming summer compilation, which includes a track from that very same duo. A tweet from the Editor (via Some Kind Of Awesome) reads as follows:

‘Sachez le : ce hors série 4 de @tsugimag est en bonne voie, le cd compil’ de l’été tue, il sera bien en kiosques le 21/7’

Don’t understand French? Us neither. But it apparently means, ‘special issue of Tsugi Mag is on track, the CD compilation ‘summer kills’, it will be well in the kiosks 21/7.’

So, can we expect a new track on the 21st July? Well, it looks pretty likely. The track - according to the below scan of the magazine - is set to be called ‘Renoma Street’. We’ll keep you posted.
