Is Noel Gallagher working with Jamie xx?
Oh my gosh. Gallagher’s hinted at a collaboration.
An unlikely collaboration is on the cards. Noel Gallagher and Jamie xx. Former Oasis man and producer du jour, teaming up on a new album.
Gallagher hinted at the collaboration in an interview with Dutch site 3voor12 while at the Netherlands’ Best Kept Secret Festival, where he headlined as High Flying Birds.
In a video interview, Gallagher mentioned the possibility of a new album, with a “mystery producer” on board. “I can tell you it’s not fucking Timbaland, or Jay-Z,” he said, wanting to not give anything away. When pressed about whether it could be Jamie xx or Four Tet, he replied: “Did you just say Jamie xx? Yeah, well, no comment.” Asked to elaborate on his opinion, he said: “Nothing, I think he’s brilliant.”
