Jamie xx opens Good Times Store in London
The shop on Kingsland Road is open for one week only.
Jamie xx is already having a busy enough year without opening his own shop, but that’s exactly what he’s done.
The Good Times Store first opened in New York in August, and has now found a new home on London’s Kingsland Road. The store opened yesterday (16th October) and will be open for business until the 23rd.
Explaining some of the things going on at the store, and details of a series of curated radio shows recorded live from the store, Jamie said: “I’ve picked a bunch of records to be sold, including a selection from one of my local favourite store Kristina, a bunch of the records I sampled for In Colour (bought off Discogs), some of my releases (a few signed) and other assorted gems. I’ve also curated a series of radio shows to be recorded live from the store and go out all week on NTS.”
Jamie xx is currently mid-way through his In Colour world tour, which stopped at London’s Brixton Academy on Thursday (15th October) for his biggest headline show to date.
