Jamie xx shares new single ‘Loud Places’, featuring Romy Madley-Croft

Jamie xx’s first single from debut solo album ‘In Colour’ received a premiere on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show this evening. The track is titled ‘Loud Places’ and feature the xx’s Romy Madley-Croft on vocals.

‘Loud Places’ was featured as this evening’s (25th March) ‘Hottest Record’, in a show that also saw the first play of another new track, titled ‘Gosh’ (listen from the 24 minute, 20 second mark here). Young Turks have also confirmed on Twitter that Jamie xx will perform at this year’s Glastonbury Festival in June.

As reported earlier this week, a recent interview with Mixmag details the full-length will be released on Young Turks and features a collaboration with Four Tet and the xx’s Romy Madley Croft, titled ‘Seesaw’. ‘In Colour’ will feature the singles ‘Sleep Sound’, ‘Girl’, as well as new songs played on Annie Mac’s show this evening.
