Jelani Blackman releases new Biig Piig collaboration ’Rise’
It is Blackman’s first new music of the year.
Jelani Blackman has released his first new music of 2023. ‘Rise’ is the new track, featuring a contribution from Biig Piig, and it is out now via 18 Records/MNRK UK.
It is set to be a busy year for Blackman, with news of the London rapper and singer’s debut album is also said to be imminent.
Speaking about the track, Blackman has said: “Being in love and waking up next to the person you wanna be with and the sun’s out is one of the best feelings in the world. Couldn’t have asked anyone better to share this song with; me and Biig Piig met last year at a festival, I think her voice and lyrics bring out all the feeling of that emotion.”
Biig Piig has added: “This song really captures a moment in time, when you’re with someone and love is so intense, it’s like the golden hour all the time”
Blackman’s debut mixtape ‘Unlimited Mixtape’ was released at the end of 2021, followed up by 2022 single ‘Comfy’.
