Jenny Hval strips back on ‘The Great Undressing’ video

Norwegian singer and producer Jenny Hval has revealed the video to the latest single from ‘Blood Bitch’, ‘The Great Undressing’.

Like her video for ‘Conceptual Romance’ last year, it’s a little bit NSFW. Delivering on the promise of the song’s title, the clip shadows a young woman as she goes about her daily business. In the buff. It’s all very mundane stuff really; she goes swimming, dresses a few manikins at works, rides a bike through town and shops for washing machines. Don’t really know what a naked woman needs a washing machine for, mind.

Director Marie Kristiansen said that she was “intrigued by what would happen if you watched a naked woman totally ignorant about her own nudity going about a normal day. Would she be perceived as a sexual object? Or would her nakedness and femininity become something ordinary and natural?”
