Jens Lekman offers up ‘Postcard #3’
The third offering in his ‘Postcard’ series sees Lekman entering into more acoustic territory.
Not all artists are so darn creative that they manage to produce a track a week, but then again, not all artists are Jens Lekman. As part of his New Years Resolution, Lekman has decided to do exactly that, and for the past three weeks, he’s supplied fans with a brand new offering as part of his ‘Postcard’ series.
“Here’s my new years resolution for 2015,” he confirmed with his first track. “While working on my next album, I will sit down once a week, write down my thoughts, turn them into a song and share it with you directly. Think of these little songs as postcards. Little greetings from me to you.”
Having unveiled a decidedly more jazz-infused number with ‘Postcard #2’, for his third cut, Lekman has moved into warmer, more indie-folk territory with an acoustic guitar leading proceedings. Check it out below.
Jens Lekman is also currently working on his new album (what can’t the man do, ey?) which will follow on from his 2012 effort ‘I Know What Love Isn’t.
