Jib Kidder streams ‘Appetites’ track, feat. Julia Holter

Weird World’s (Peaking Lights, Washed Out) latest signing Jib Kidder has shared a new track from his forthcoming album ‘Teaspoon To The Ocean’. New track ‘Appetites’ features fellow label-mate Julia Holter on backing vocals, with the track following the release of last month’s sparkling ‘Dozens’.

On ‘Appetites’, Kidder drops the harmoniser pedal in favour Holter’s natural and nimble voice. Kidder litters the track with peculiar lyrics, which nestle inside a syncopated merry-go-round rhythm that spins around towards a resolution of sunny slide guitar music. It promises more from two eccentric artists who also feature on another track of Kidder’s forthcoming album.

‘Teaspoon To The Ocean’ will be released by Domino Records imprint Weird World next year. Pre-order the album ahead of its release on 26th January here and listen to ‘Appetites’ below.
