Joesef releases cover of Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together

The release coincides with the legendary singer’s 77th birthday.

Joesef has released a cover version of Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together’ to mark Green’s 77th birthday (13th April). The song was originally released on Green’s 1972 album of the same name, and was a #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The Glasgow singer-songwriter recently completed a string of dates that included a sold-out Roundhouse in London to two nights selling out Barrowlands in his home city. Joesef’s debut album ‘Permanent Damage’ was released in January this year. He also released the live film ‘Permanent Damage: Live from Apartment 22’ in March, featuring three tracks from the album, ‘Joe’, ‘Borderline’ and ‘Just Come Home With Me Tonight’, filmed in the attic at the George Tavern in Glasgow.
