Montreux Jazz Festival adds Joesef to its 2023 programme

The release coincides with the legendary singer’s 77th birthday.

Montreux Jazz Festival has added three new names to its 2023 programme.

Joesef has been confirmed to play on 9th July as a support act to Juliette Armanet. He will perform songs from his debut record ‘Permanent Damage’, which we praised for his ‘soulful, silk-like vocals’.

The festival also unveiled two other names that will join the lineup. Pip Millett will support Sam Smith on 5th July, whilst Morcheeba will perform ahead of Seal on 12th July. Other headliners slated to perform include Lil Nas X and Bob Dylan.

“This festival reminds me why I love music so much,” Smith previously said in a press release. “If you haven’t been to Montreux for the festival, please go. It will change your life.”
