John Grant announces release of BBC Philharmonic Orchestra live performance
Bella Union release contains tracks spanning across Grant’s back-catalogue.
2014 has already been a momentous year for fans of ex-Czar’s frontman John Grant with new music, high profile festival appearances and a mammoth sold out UK tour.
This week, Grant has announced one final treat, the album release of his celebrated performance with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.
The one off performance, broadcast across 6 Music and other BBC networks in October 2014, explores the dark, raw emotion of 2013’s critically acclaimed ‘Pale Green Ghosts’ as well as hits from Grant’s back-catalogue. The recording, which features arrangements from his long-time collaborator Fiona Brice, will be released on the first of December via Bella Union with the below tracklisting:
