Justin Vernon, Sufjan Stevens, Matthew E White collaborate on new track ‘Trials, Troubles, Tribulations’

Justin Vernon, Sharon Van Etten, Matthew E White, Fight the Big Bull and Megafaun all appear on a newly unveiled track, branched under the supergroup name Sounds of the South.

The track is called ‘Trials, Troubles, Tribulations’, and it appears on a forthcoming compilation (‘MusicNOW - 10 Years’), which celebrates the 10th birthday for Cincinnati, Ohio-based festival MusicNOW, founded by The National’s Aaron Dessner.

Out 10th March via Brassland, the compilation is set to feature new music from Sufjan Stevens, Grizzly Bear, Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold and the Dirty Projectors. Andrew Bird, Owen Pallett and Bonnie Prince Billy also appear.

This year’s MusicNOW festival takes place 11th-15th March, with The National set to perform alongside the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. See a tracklist above the player (via Pitchfork).
