Kaiser Chiefs’ Ricky Wilson Joins BBC One’s ‘The Voice’

UK talent show The Voice - the one where people sing but you can’t see their faces and when you eventually do get to see their faces, you decide whether they deserve a career or not - has recruited an unlikely new judge in the form of Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson.

BBC News confirmed the addition, announcing that he’ll be joining the judges in 2014 alongside Kylie Minogue, Tom Jones and will.i.am. Famously ‘shy’ judges from series 1 and 2, Jessie J and Danny from The Script, have been replaced by Kylie and Ricky.

‘Who doesn’t want to spend their Saturday night with Kylie Minogue?’ said Wilson about his recruitment.

‘I spent last winter yelling at The Voice, and both Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am were total superstars.

‘I’m just lucky the Kaiser Chiefs have rubber stamped my temporary loan!’

BBC’s The Voice will begin in January 2014.
