According to plan
Kanye West didn’t “storm off” from Pan Am Games performance
A rep from Pan Am says: “Kanye West was always scheduled to perform for 13 minutes.”
Earlier this week, reports surfaced suggesting that Kanye West’s set for the Pan American Games closing ceremony ended up being cut short.
A medley set - spanning thirteen minutes - ended with Yeezy smashing his microphone before making a hasty exit.
Pam Am representatives have since issued a statement, however, clarifying that Kanye’s set went exactly to plan.
The statement reads:
“As this was a live broadcast, Kanye West was always scheduled to perform for 13 minutes. He fulfilled this commitment in great style and while there was technical difficulty at the end due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, he rolled with it the way great artists do. To imply that he abruptly cut short his performance or that he was anything less than professional is incorrect. We could not have been more thrilled.”
