Kanye West hoping to star in Spike Lee’s new film, ‘Chiraq’
Film is set to star Samuel L. Jackson, Common, and Jeremy Piven
Kanye West is reportedly in talks to star in a new Spike Lee film called ‘Chiraq’.
A report from TheWrap states that Lee will make his film for Amazon Studios, rivalling Netflix with a cast that will hopefully boast Samuel L. Jackson, Common and The Entourage’s Jeremy Piven. Neither representatives for West or Common have confirmed or denied reports.
No plot details have been announced for the project, though the title “became synonymous with Chicago as the city became increasingly plagued by gun violence in recent years”. Should Kanye West star in the film, it would follow his cameos in Entourage and Anchorman 2 last year.
