Countdown
Kanye West launches mysterious new site
‘Yeezy.Supply’ features intriguing countdown.
After the all-conquering ‘Yeezus’ made 2013 one of Kanye West’s most vintage years, 2014 went by with little more than a musical peep from everybody’s favourite croissant-demanding egotist.
Now with anticipation growing for the as-of-yet-untitled and release date-less follow-up to his sixth album, he’s launched a mysterious new website entitled ‘Yeezy.Supply’. Occupying a single webpage, the site features an unnerving 2 minutes, 21 seconds of static white noise, an intermittent grainy scrolling background and, most importantly of all, a ticking clock.
Whilst it’s been pointed out that expiry of the countdown aligns perfectly with the 12th February launch of Kanye’s high-profile clothing collaboration with Adidas at New York Fashion Week, after the appearance of two Paul McCartney-featuring album tracks in the shape of ‘Only One’ and ‘FourFiveSeconds’ in the past few weeks, it’s certainly worth keeping an eye trained on the clock.
In the meantime, check out the video for ‘FourFiveSeconds’, which also features Rihanna, below.
