Karen O announces solo London shows
Two dates at Bush Hall take place this Autumn around solo debut ‘Crush Songs’.
Karen O has announced two solo shows to take place in the UK this October.
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer is confirmed to play 4th October and 5th October and London venue Bush Hall.
Tickets for the shows are on sale via SeeTickets on Friday 15th August.
Her debut album album ‘Crush Songs’ is out 9th September. Its lead track, ‘Rapt’, was unveiled two weeks back, and it’s a song that reflects the woozy acoustic isolation of her Academy Award-nominated ‘The Moon Song’.
‘Crush Songs’ is set to gain a worldwide first play on August 27th, where it’s being played in secret locations for private audiences via Sofar Sounds. These locations include London, Brighton and Glasgow.
“When I was 27 I crushed a lot,” she says of the new record. “I wasn’t sure I’d ever fall in love again. These songs were written and recorded in private around this time. They are the soundtrack to what was an ever continuing love crusade. I hope they keep you company on yours.”
The album is set to be released via Julian Casablancas’ label Cult Records.
