Kanye West’s confirmed his collaborative album with Drake
He’s explained what on earth that mysterious billboard in Los Angeles was all about.
Rumours surrounding a Kanye West and Drake collaborative album first started up last month, when a mysterious billboard appeared in Los Angeles. The green sign, which read “Calabasas is the new Abu Dhabi” - in reference to the LA Suburb where both artists live - also featured the logos of both rappers’ record labels.
“We’re just working on music, working on a bunch of music together, just having fun going into the studio,” Kanye West told Vogue, confirming the collaboration. “We’re working on an album, so there’s some exciting things coming up soon.”
Though he confirmed the existence of a collaborative album, Yeezy didn’t go as far as firming up details - there’s no release date.
The pair go back a long way: Drake co-wrote ’30 Hours’ from West’s recent album ‘The Life Of Pablo’. Kanye West also appeared on Drake’s ‘Views’ under his The Throne moniker, alongside Jay-Z.
