Killer Mike shares new single ‘Motherless’
It arrives ahead of Mike’s upcoming solo album ‘Michael’.

With his first solo album in over a decade due out next month, Killer Mike has shared the latest single to be taken from it. Watch the video for ‘Motherless’, directed by Shane Smith, below.
Alongside that video, Mike has also shared for the first time the video for the previous single, ‘Don’t Let the Devil’, directed by Davi Peña.
Taken together, the two videos make up a short film that is a tribute to Mike’s late mother.
Speaking about them, Mike has said, “These aren’t meant to be sad videos or eulogies. This is a celebration of a bad ass Black girl from the westside of Atlanta. She’s been affectionately called OG Mama Niecy by the many people she helped stay on their path.”
Killer Mike’s album ‘Michael’ is due out on 16th June, his first solo release since 2012’s ‘R.A.P. Music’. In the time since then, he has released four studio albums as one half of Run the Jewels, alongside producer and rapper El-P.
