King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have surprise-released ‘Sketches of Brunswick East’

So, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are well on their way to that five album target for 2017, aren’t they?

Last week the Aussies decided to auction off a test pressing of a new album that they’d worked on in collaboration with Mild High Club, proceeds of which would be donated to charity. But surprise! They’ve unveiled the whole 37-minute album, which is streaming now.

As reported by Pitchfork, the project has been inspired by the Brunswick East area, which is a suburb in Melbourne where King Gizzard write and record. Physical editions of the new LP will be available in October.

This year the band have already released two albums: ‘Flying Mictrotonal Banana’ and ‘Murder of the Universe’.
