King Tuff unveils title-track from ‘Black Moon Spell’ record

Ty Segall plays drums on this storming cut from Kyle Thomas’ new record.

Ragged so-and-so King Tuff has shared the title-track from his forthcoming album, ‘Black Moon Spell’.

Kyle Thomas’ new record follows on from a 2012 self-titled LP - already he’s streamed the deadly ‘Eyes of the Muse’ - this latest cut’s been unveiled with the more-than ominous declaration: “FINALLY MY ‘BLACK MOON SPELL’ IS HERE TO FUCK YOU WICKEDLY IN THE EAR.” Charming.

‘Black Moon Spell’ is defined by cataclysmic, thrashing crescendos and the kind of grubby riff that tends to be found in Jack White’s “DON’T OPEN: TOP SECRET” drawer.

The record was produced by Bobby Harlow at LA’s Studio B in early 2014, with “dracula landlords” and “haunted microphones” apparently interfering with / enhancing the recording process.

Ty Segall contributes drums to this latest track.
