Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love’s former LA flat now an Air BnB rental space

A Fairfax, LA apartment once rented by Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love is now available to hire as an Air BnB rental space, according to Stereogum.

The apartment now owned by Brandon Kleinman is available to stay in for $150 (£104) a night, and can be found on the website as “Kurt Cobain’s Private 1b + 1bth’. Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love lived at the address between 1991-1992, while Love was pregnant with Frances Bean Cobain. It’s widely believed that Kurt Cobain wrote ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ in the apartment’s bathtub.

Speaking to Vulture, Kleinman told the publication he “mostly rents to Nirvana fans, though there hasn’t been a ton of demand.” “It gets rented out about four or five times a year,” Kleinman says. “I think AirBnB buried the listing for some reason. I don’t get a lot of interest in it.”
