LA Priest loses himself with his Dog for ‘Learning To Love’ video
Sam Dust proves once again why he’s the alien prince of hypnotic pop.
Having released his debut record ‘Inji’ under the LA Priest moniker this week, Sam Dust has unveiled the video for new single ‘Learning To Love’.
The video, which Dust created with director Isaac Eastgate, is another display of the former Late of The Pier leader’s penchant for moulding a range of sonic and visual themes into his own unique vision.
Much like the track, the video quickly shifts from one setting to the next. As soft murmurs of atmospheric synth veer into squelching electronic pop, Dust loses himself in ’80s technology and the natural environment that he and his dog are surrounded by.
Dust remains the central figure throughout, a strange symbol of hypnotic pop that lures you in further as the video concludes. ‘Inji’ is out now through Domino. LA Priest has a set of festival dates announced, including appearances at Bestival and Festival No.6. The dates are as follows:
