Lady Gaga causes ‘Mayhem’ with LG7 announcement

Her next album’s new single will be debuted on Sunday, during an ad break at the 2025 GRAMMY Awards.

Lady Gaga confirms anticipated new album (LG7), 'Mayhem'

The wait is over, people - Lady Gaga has officially confirmed that her seventh studio album will be entitled ‘MAYHEM’, and will arrive on 7th March via Interscope Records.

The news has been much anticipated by fans for months now, after Gaga quickly followed up her surprise ‘Harlequin’ project (a companion album to her 2024 film Joker: Folie à Deux) with ‘Disease’ - the first single to be shared from LG7 - in October last year.

Set to feature 14 tracks, including her other recent single (and Bruno Mars collab) ‘Die With A Smile’, ‘MAYHEM’ promises to deliver exactly what it says on the tin, returning to Gaga’s roots whilst still forging forwards to push the boundaries of mainstream pop as we know it.

“The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved,” Gaga has shared, describing the writing process as “reassembling a shattered mirror: even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.”

The third single to be lifted from ‘MAYHEM’ - the name of which is still under wraps - will be aired for the first time, alongside its music video, on Sunday 2nd February during an ad break at this year’s GRAMMY Awards. So, watch this space - and if you can’t wait that long, why not revisit the darkly brilliant ‘Disease’ vid below?
