Bombay Bicycle Club release acoustic recording of ‘Racing Stripes’
The track is taken from their forthcoming acoustic EP ‘Two Lives’.
Gearing up to release brand new acoustic EP ‘Two Lives’ on 24th July, Bombay Bicycle Club are sharing their reworking of ‘Racing Stripes’ that originally appeared on their January album ‘Everything Else Has Gone Wrong’.
The first track recorded for the new EP, which features three acoustic reworkings of songs from ‘Everything Else Has Gone Wrong’ alongside a cover of Bonnie Raitt’s ‘Two Lives’, ‘Racing Stripes’ also has guest vocals from Billie Marten and Liz Lawrence.
“Recording this EP at home meant going back to basics and recording just like I used to growing up,” Jack Steadman says of the upcoming EP. “It brought back a lot of funny memories of making DIY shakers out of rice and tupperware, and mic shields out of coat hangers and stockings.”
