Listen: Childhood Preview Debut Album With ‘Falls Away’ Single
Nottingham-formed, London-based psych giants are readying a debut album for this summer.
Since recruiting the ever-expansive Dan Carey as producer, Childhood’s traditionally upbeat but progressive sound has been steered outwards. Their previous single ‘Pinballs’ was a nine-minute monster. ‘Falls Away’, the follow-up, is slightly more restrained, in turn previewing a debut album out this summer.
Expansiveness is still at the core of the band’s mode, with handclaps sounding like they’ve fallen straight out the sky, and a howled chorus that’s landed from somewhere in outerspace.
‘Falls Away’ is released on 26th May.
