Listen: Chromeo Share ‘Ezra’s Interlude’ Feat. Ezra Koenig

Of all the special guest appearances on Chromeo’s new album ‘White Women’, this might take the prize for being the most exciting. Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend fame guests on ‘Ezra’s Interlude’, a track he penned a couple of years back that’s eventually wound its way into the heart of Dave 1 and P-Thugg’s fourth longplayer.

A finger-clicking piano ballad, the track sees Ezra swapping vocal lines with Dave, as well as hitting a falsetto that’s previously unencountered in the Ezra stakes.

Speaking to DIY, Dave 1 recalls the studio time for the track: ‘We were in the studio, I freestyled the lines and he was like, that works. What’s cool about that song is he’s never done a falsetto that high. I always wanted to put this song on a Chromeo album.’

‘White Women’ is out 12th May.
