Listen: Darkside Stream ‘Modcast’ Mix, Remix The Knife

Dave Harrington - the future-gazing, progressive guitar player in Darkside - has put together a ‘Modcast’ as part of the ongoing Modular Records series. Without Nico Jaar by his side, he’s provided a handful of exclusives within the 1 hour slot.

Exclusive remixes arrive in the form of The Knife’s ‘Without You My Life Would Be Boring’, Terje Rypdal’s ‘Silver Bird is Heading for the Sun’, Braids’ ‘Amends’ and Empress Of’s ‘Realize You’.

Speaking about the mix, Dave says:

‘The first track is a cover of a Nick Drake songs that I made with Tamara – a vocalist who also sang on a remix I did of one of Nico’s songs. Also the last track is a kind of a cover I did of this John Scofield song Holidays from a live album called Out Like A Light. That’s one of my favorite songs of all time and one of the simplest most beautiful chord progressions ever.’
