Listen: Death Grips Share New Track, ‘Birds’

A week hardly goes by without something interesting / completely off-the-charts appearing from the Death Grips camp. Luckily, this time around, the news is that they have a brand new track.

While the band have recently spent time trolling their live audience through elaborate no-shows at their own concerts, it seems they’ve been spending their downtime wisely on new material. Today they’ve shared ‘Birds’.

The track, accompanied by a blacked-out Youtube clip, sees Death Grips deliver something equally as sinister as previous material. With ‘Birds’ it almost seems they are battling their critics. With its trippy guitar lines and simple rhymes, with the phrase “fuck you” being the most repeated, this could be one of their darkest moments to date; hardly a coincidence following the events in recent weeks.
