Listen: Dirty Projectors Stream ‘You Against The Larger World’

Dirty Projectors will release the follow-up to the band’s 2009 ‘Bitte Orca’ on July 9th.

We recently told you about the new Dirty Projectors track ‘The Gun Has No Trigger’, available to listen to here, but now Dirty Projectors are streaming a new non-album track ‘You Against The Larger World’.

Dirty Projectors will release the follow-up to the band’s 2009 ‘Bitte Orca’, ‘Swing Lo Magellan’, their sixth studio album, on July 9th in the UK and Europe and July 10th in North America via Domino.

“It’s an album of songs, an album of songwriting,” says David Longstreth of the release which was created from the fruits of constant writing and recording in a ‘weird house’ in Delaware County, New York. Longstreth put together over 70 tracks, producing and mixing each before selecting the album’s final 12 from a batch of 40 fully formed demos.

Tracklisting:
1. Offspring Are Blank
2. About to Die
3. Gun Has No Trigger
4. Swing Lo Magellan
5. Just From Chevron
6. Dance For You
7. Maybe That Was It
8. Impregnable Question

‘Swing Lo Magellan’ will be made available on CD, vinyl and digital download.
