Standing out like a cross between dry-witted observations by LCD Soundsystem and the proud bellows of Majical Cloudz, Colarado resident Frugal Father hasn’t shifted the formula one jot in the time he’s been away.

Last year the musician shared his first set of recordings, loaded equal parts with self-damning and subtle romance. ‘Threat to Narrative’ borders on creepy with its obsessions with a ‘blue eyed, dark haired girl’, but the minimal, jagged synth pop makes up for any undesirable albeit calculated stalker vibes.
